How to use Tap to Pay on iPhone for your business

You can now easily accept contactless payments with just an iPhone. With Tap to Pay on iPhone and a supported app, you can accept in-person, contactless payments, right on your iPhone — from physical debit and credit cards, to Apple Pay and other digital wallets — no extra terminals or hardware needed. It’s easy, secure, and private.

Requirements

Enable Tap to Pay on iPhone

You can enable Tap to Pay on iPhone at any time through Hearth Mobile app

  1. From the home screen, tap “Profile”
  2. Find and tap “Tap To Pay on iPhone Settings”
  3. Toggle to enable Tap To Pay on iPhone
  4. Verify the correct Apple ID is shown. If not, choose Use a Different Apple ID.
  5. Select Agree & Continue to toggle on Tap to Pay on iPhone.

Once the Account Owner enables Tap to Pay on iPhone, all Team Members under the same account with an eligible device will automatically be able to use Tap to Pay on iPhone.  They will also have access to tutorials on how to use the feature within the app.

Contactless payment cards

Accept contactless debit and credit cards with Tap to Pay on iPhone. To confirm if your customer has a contactless card, look for the EMV® Contactless Indicator on the back or the front of the card.

To accept a contactless card, present your iPhone to the customer and ask the customer to hold their card horizontally on the tap area for a few seconds until done.

Apple Pay on iPhone

To accept Apple Pay, present your iPhone to the customer and ask the customer to hold their iPhone near the tap area until done.
